Atproto for small makers

And, what counts as nsfw?

I'm interested in setting up my online presence in the Atmosphere as a budding small maker, so I've been looking at options to replace my current website (which is a traditional host with Wordpress).

For a simple static site Blento looks appealing. I could replace my Wordpress install with pckt.blog or something else in the realm of standard.site. I don't think I could currently get rid of Instagram, for various reasons, but I crosspost on Bluesky already.

I haven't seen anything e-commerce related in the Atmosphere, though it seems to be at least a partial fit (again, looking through the lens of a small maker with a limited inventory). I imagine products and artworks could be stored in my Atproto profile, similar to posts and publications. I'm curious to see developments in this area.

On another note, some of the things I make are meant for adults (e.g. they're adult toys). I expect this counts as nsfw and on Bluesky some of my posts are already labelled as such. Although I personally feel a picture of an adult toy is generally fairly tame, as far as nsfw content goes, I do try to get a feel for what the stance is on nsfw content on the platforms I'm evaluating. Since pckt.blog lets you mark posts as nsfw I've settled here for now. Since I'm in the EU, I might prefer an EU-based standard.site provider but I guess it helps that I'm at least on Eurosky.

Anyway, that's it for now. Here's a random picture of some work in progress šŸ˜…
